2013 Grammy Awards: Best Dressed

11 Feb

Today when I watched the red carpet arrival of the stars, I couldn’t believe the fashion! These awards, so far, have had the most  best dressed attendants than did any others so I’m very excited for what will come further in the awards season. Long dresses were the trend of the night, some accentuated with sparkle, some with color while others opted for fiercer choices.

Pant Suits

Kaley Cuoco and Beyonce wowed in pant suits, which proves- you don’t have to wear a dress to look fabulous!

Sparkle in Black

Picture 21

Kathy Griffin, Carrie Underwood, and Carly Ray- Jepsen went for simple black options with a little pizzazz, you know a little sparkle can never hurt.

Lady in…..Mint!

Picture 19

Katy Perry looked flawless in this skin-tight mint dress with a cut-out by GUCCI. When I saw her, I was pleasantly surprised, for she proved to all of us that our beauty stands in the spotlight and that a simple and pastel colored option can complement that instead of depriving ourselves with attention.

Fierce Cut-Outs

Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Lopez and Chrissy Teigen elegantly showcased their curves in fabulous couture with cut outs.

Red on the Carpet

Stars such as Natasha Betingfield and Rihanna stood out in bold choices of red.

Red Carpet Goddesses

Allison Williams, Taylor Swift and Jenna Jameson amazed us with their Goddess-like looks.

*So what where your favorite looks of the night, and who are you waiting to see more of in the awards to come? ;) Comment and let me know. Until next post!

Get the Look: INNA

3 Feb

INNA is a Romanian pop sensation. Though she now lives in California, US, she’s not exactly the most popular here, however over the border in Mexico, she’d be praised by fans once again. Since I was born in Europe, I’m familiar with her music, and love it. Also she’s beautiful! .However, her style is a different story- it’s not exactly one I praise, but it is one I take to interest for she sets many of her own rules and trends. Most times, she’ll be sporting tight or revealing clothing, not to blame her, since her body is amazing! Like many stars in Hollywood, she’ll go fabulous, red carpet glamor and at other times just a casual pedestrian. Even so, I wanted to put together a look that wouldn’t be as striking as one Inna would put together, but one that may still appeal to her taste ;-)

2013 S.A.G Awards: Best Dressed

28 Jan

The awards season has gotten off to a great start, thus far. Stars have been shining bright as never before, and few have gone wrong with their fashion choices. I was especially impressed with the Red Carpet today at the S.A.G awards. The dresses focused on navy, black, and blue colors. As for the hair, most sported a side parting which was fabulous along with their gowns!

2013 Golden Globes: Best Dressed

14 Jan

I love the awards season….that is- the red carpet! It’s fantastic to see what celebrities are wearing and whether or not they’re rocking their couture.

This year at the Golden Globes, trends such as elegant black, sparkle, pure white, color and the mermaid style dresses dominated. The ones working these included; Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Seyfred and Halle Berry.

Evening Goddess

Sometimes one piece of clothing inspires you, so you purchase it in hopes of creating the perfect outfit around the central point. This was the case with this Deep V Beaded Chiffon Gown from Marchesa Couture. Everything appealed to me, from the gorgeous color to the details and elegant draping- I was inspired. It reminded me of Greece and their stories of the Gods. Every woman wants to look as flawless as a Goddess, and this dress would help her to achieve that.

Usually when I think of Greek- inspired outfits, I go with gold accessories, however due to the waist accent on the dress I decided it would be best to stick with silver. (Also the silver and icy blue are a great color combination for the winter.) Therefore, I chose the Feather Crystal Earrings to compliment the waist line and a thin ID bracelet with gold accent. Remember, the dress is the center piece, so accessories should be kept simple. Keeping with the color selection, I also chose silver Lady Peep Aurora Boreale Strass Loubiton pumps to finish off the stunning look (if the red sole dis appeals to you then choose same style).   Most of the time, I don’t advise on the hairstyles to choose with the outfits, however I have a strong suggestion for this one in order to pull everything together; Jessica Alba once wore a braided, low bun and it would make for a perfect companion to this dress. I did not include a clutch, however something simple and silver based would work.

Hopefully, you are now just as inspired as I was to enhance your existing beauty with this heavenly fashion.

2013 Trend; Emerald

Style experts have foretold that one of the major fashion trends will be the rich color of green-emerald. It has already been sported on the red carpet by actresses such as Emily Blunt, Mila Kunis, Catherine Zeta Jones and Angelina Jolie and may I say, it is a stunning choice which will make one stand out- especially if you wear it right!

However, we’re not all movie stars and for that matter we can dress up in green for rather daily matters! The best way to wear this color is by either choosing a larger main piece- such as a coat- or to accessorize basic, neutral colors with bags or statement necklaces.

So here I chose to work around a coat. I started out by deciding on the neutral that I would pair it with- and decided on a light cream base. I chose a turtle neck sweater because in my opinion they are essential during the cold season- especially with an open chested coat- they also add a very sophisticated touch! ;) I went with dark skinny jeans and neutral somewhat beige boots to complement the sweater. I pulled the whole thing together with a metallic tote :P So fashion trendy! Enjoy!
