2013 Grammy Awards: Best Dressed

Today when I watched the red carpet arrival of the stars, I couldn’t believe the fashion! These awards, so far, have had the most  best dressed attendants than did any others so I’m very excited for what will come further in the awards season. Long dresses were the trend of the night, some accentuated with sparkle, some with color while others opted for fiercer choices.

Pant Suits

Kaley Cuoco and Beyonce wowed in pant suits, which proves- you don’t have to wear a dress to look fabulous!

Sparkle in Black

Kathy Griffin, Carrie Underwood, and Carly Ray- Jepsen went for simple black options with a little pizzazz, you know a little sparkle can never hurt.

Lady in…..Mint!

Katy Perry looked flawless in this skin-tight mint dress with a cut-out by GUCCI. When I saw her, I was pleasantly surprised, for she proved to all of us that our beauty stands in the spotlight and that a simple and pastel colored option can complement that instead of depriving ourselves with attention.

Fierce Cut-Outs

Kelly Rowland, Jennifer Lopez and Chrissy Teigen elegantly showcased their curves in fabulous couture with cut outs.

Red on the Carpet

Stars such as Natasha Betingfield and Rihanna stood out in bold choices of red.

Red Carpet Goddesses

Allison Williams, Taylor Swift and Jenna Jameson amazed us with their Goddess-like looks.

2013 S.A.G Awards: Best Dressed

The awards season has gotten off to a great start, thus far. Stars have been shining bright as never before, and few have gone wrong with their fashion choices. I was especially impressed with the Red Carpet today at the S.A.G awards. The dresses focused on navy, black, and blue colors. As for the hair, most sported a side parting which was fabulous along with their gowns!

2013 Golden Globes: Best Dressed

I love the awards season….that is- the red carpet! It’s fantastic to see what celebrities are wearing and whether or not they’re rocking their couture.

This year at the Golden Globes, trends such as elegant black, sparkle, pure white, color and the mermaid style dresses dominated. The ones working these included; Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift, Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, Amanda Seyfred and Halle Berry.

Elegant Evening

These one shoulder styled long gowns, are a perfect choice for a fancy event, dinner, or any elegant evening. They have been sported by celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce Knowles. I loved the coral color of this particular dress, so I decided to pair it with neutral accessories. The light peach platform shoe gives the outfit a little sparkle, along with the modern earrings that will elongate your face. Finally a white clutch to top it off.

Teen Choice Awards 2012: Best Dressed

On July 22, thousands of teenagers all over the country tuned in to watch the 2012 Teen Choice Awards, and as they all look up to celebrities for fashion inspiration, I was happy to see that many stars delivered and looked fabulous at the event. Here are some of the best dressed celebrities from the awards.

From the girls, we saw so much color as with Selena Gomez, Hayden Penitiere, Lucy Hale, Demi Lovato,  Shay Mitchell, and Zooey Deschanel. Others, such as Taylor Swift chose simpler and lighter options.

And lets not forget our boys!!! Zac Efron, Justin Beiber and Taylor Lautner were only some of the guys who looked awesome at the awards!

*But I have to say, my best of the night has to be Taylor Swift, she looked beautiful!

Brunch with the Girls

Spring and Summer are pretty fabulous- in that you can dress light and airy. In the series Sex and the City the four friends, Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda always gather for brunch every day in the city of New York. In New York, style is not an option- it’s a must! However, it should play a role in any city that you live in. So, in the series for the brunch scene, I would choose this nude based dress with a sparkle detail on the bust area as well as lower edge. Since the dress sustains a minimum of color, I paired it with a coral tote to emphasize the pop of color on the dress as well as nude pumps to keep the attention on the dress itself.

Billboard Music Awards 2012

Two days ago in the fabulous city of Las Vegas, the BBMA’s took place. The awards were definitely a blast to watch, but like most aspiring fashionistas, I was also looking out for the celebrity styles.

Miley Cyrus was a hit for me. For her teenage years all that people had known her for, was that girl on Disney Channel playing Hannah Montana. Now she’s coming out, truly showing us that she has matured. I love this white suit she wore. It is classy, yet sexy at the same time. Her hairstyle also threw me off guard, since it’s not what we might be used to from Miley, but it definitely tied the whole outfit together.

Jordan Sparks had a fantastic performance, a tribute to Whitney Houston with her most known song, I Will Always Love You. The leather top and flowing skirt made a fabulous impression for the evening’s emotional concert. It also seems as though she’s lost a few pounds, and the dress emphasized that fact. Way to go Jordan!

Katy Perry is truly a gorgeous young woman and I was thrilled that she brought her 91- year old grandmother, who also by the way, looked amazing. Katy’s dress was beautiful, however the dark lip stick and dark hair highlights made her look pale and unnatural. I think that she dressed much better when she was younger. Her performance, though, did not lack while she debuted her new song, Wide Awake.

Taylor Swift, as is Miley, is also growing up and trying to show it. At first when I saw her dress, I thought that it was a modest design, however when I saw the detailing on the torso, I had a turn in thought. Because of all the lines, the dress actually makes it seem as though Taylor doesn’t have a chest. If it had been purely red with maybe some sparkly detailing instead, I would have favored it more. Her hair makes her look sophisticated, however if she had gone with her natural and curled look, she would have reminded us of the classic and young Taylor she is.

Kelly Clarkson also went with a red choice, and she worked it! Her body looked fantastic and slim in this number. Her make-up which I also noticed in her personal performance, was also very subtle and natural looking. Thumbs up for Kelly.

Julienne Hough looked stunning and in my opinion, was the fairest of them all in this sparkling mini. Being the dancer she is, those legs were worth showing off and she finished her look off with gorgeous golden pumps as well as light and natural make-up. What a hit for the night.

Last but not least, Justin Beiber who went solo for the night, for his girlfriend Selena Gomez was not to be spotted. He looked his cute and young self, but for his outfit, I thought it was slightly messy. These are the awards, not the streets, pull up your pants and tailor them. Besides that, I loved his act for the show when he changed down into a neon shirt for an unforgettable performance.
